Cathedral

Marina Port Vell

Just across the road from the hotel is the Marina Port Vell, the old harbour of Barcelona, which was originally built for the 1992 Olympic Games and has recently been transformed into a 148 berth luxury facility, creating the ultimate destination for yachts up to 190 metres. Port Vell stretches from La Rambla to Barceloneta, with the medieval shipyards to the west. In the middle is Marèmagnum, a vast leisure and retail complex alongside the city’s aquarium, and to the east is a yacht marina and the Catalan History Museum.

La Barceloneta is known for its sandy beach and the many restaurants and nightclubs that line its boardwalk. This district was built in the 18th century in a grid pattern, making it easy to navigate. The area is also great for seafood and fish restaurants as well as nightclubs. The beautiful beach at La Barceloneta is just 10-15 minutes’ walk from the hotel.

La Rambla

La Rambla, or Las Ramblas, is Barcelona’s most iconic boulevard, ideal for strolling day or night. It runs from the port north-west to Plaça Catalunya, Barcelona’s main square. Along its course you can spot treasures like a mosaic by Joan Miró and the Canaletes fountain, but beware of pickpockets along the way. You can walk to the bottom of La Rambla in just 7 minutes.
